One odd thing I saw

We were running to the gym for PT and passed a Friday morning company run.  The back half of the formation was doing running cadences....in Spanish.

I strongly support official bilingualism but that struck me as a bit strange.

that. is odd......
i mean, at DLI that would be sensible, we are learning languages. its our MOS (was . was...) so doing cadence in whatever language you study would be good... but. ummmmm.. elsewhere?

At MAC there are no signs in Spanish anywhere and no speaking Spanish. It's English only. I'm not joking.
It's 100% ID check at all checkpoints. That is at SAFB which is MAC. It's an extremely high security base.

How is the temperatures over there?

How much difference is there between where you are and CA? I am two hours earlier than CA since I'm in the CST time zone.
