Trashy Eats in the Middle East

The United States, spreading freedom everywhere! Also obesity.

Taco Bell, Kuwait

Photobucket

I haven't eaten at any of the above yet. People who ate at the Burger Thing yesterday experienced tummy upset. Rather, today the DFAC served Indian food. Do you hear me? INDIAN FOOD!

I love Taco Bell soft shell Gorditas!

As for the hot dog place, I haven't eaten a hot dog at a fast food place since Zie Weinerschnitzel in San Diego. I was sick before I ate even half of it.

And yet there's something that always makes me feel nostalgic when I've read stories about Tim Horton's where the Canadians are stationed.

You find Tim Horton's in Afghanistan. I WISH there were one here.

Oh wait, I'm trying to lose 10 pounds. Probably for the best it isn't here. Of course I could always just have the coffee...

... and hang around for that feeling of home. BTW, another July 1st and moving day in Quebec. I'm actually going to use that reference in my bigbang fic.

Hugsies (and now I must really get dressed and all that before my Mobility specialist shows up - duh),

Looks kind of like the Minnesota State Fair, only with more uniforms/franchises and fewer things on sticks.

Indian food or Toxic Smell...hrm. I know which I'd pick. Can you go off base and get some good home cookin' too? The middle eastern food I've had is tasty stuff.

I can't lie... the McDs I had when I got to Kuwait to start my journey home for R&R was the best fast food ever!

We have the Taco Bell, etc, at Victory, but it's always a huge line.

What's your opinion on Green Beans?

At least at our DFAC, when they do ethnic food, it isn't always ... good.

Haven't tried Green Bean yet. DFAC coffee is free and why make an extra stop in the morning? although we do start work Monday, so I might try it then.

What will get old real fast? I haven't gone to the fast food yet, and except for americanstd wanting me to try Taco Bell to tell him about it, I don't plan to.

I've just reset my tummy with all the good fruits and veggies available to me at the DFAC (they actually made bindi, which is curried okra yesterday--I almost swooned) so I don't want to screw that up now!

As much as I hated the food at the DFAC, I have to admit, they had a wide selection of fruits.

Erk.

I ate at Burger Thing yesterday (which used to be my favourite nomspot) and I've realized that never again can I eat there.

The TB is the bare-bones minimum: tacos, burritos, and I think maybe grilled burritos.
