New shoes

Yesterday I went running at the gym and had a great run. 2.5 miles in 25 minutes, wasn't tired.

Today my knee was absolutely killing me. Both 1LT A and CPT S individually suggested that perhaps it was my running shoes. I looked at the soles and realized that the outside soles of both were worn almost smooth. CPT S recommended a web site called http://www.roadrunnersports.com. There is a function on it called Shoe Dog where you put in information about your feet and it recommends about six kinds of shoes.

I did this and headed over to Zone 6 because I'd heard they had more size options than the PX here in Zone 1. Lo and behold, they had one of the shoes that Shoe Dog had recommended. They weren't cheap ($72.50) but my knee felt better as soon as I started walking in them.

I went to spinning class to loosen up my knee and have taken two Aleve so I'm hoping tomorrow I'll be good. Monday I might try running again to see what happens. If I still have pain, it's off to Troop Medical to start having this dealt with.

Yeah, I got mine before I left for 27D school last year. They were slightly big, too, but I needed something ASAP.

Now I'll buy on line in advance before I leave here so I have spare pairs later on when I might not have money.

I shopped at roadrunner also when I was deployed. Got two pairs of great shoes from them!
