Christmas (Yule too!) came early!

Today after the gym I decided to go to the lounge beneath our office to check for mail, since I knew I'd have some Netflices coming.

They were there along with:

Rock Band 2, which I had ordered for the unit;

"Kings: The Complete Series" from my friend Mike K, who's been keeping me inundated with DVDs and intro'd me to Super Robot Red Baron;

A packet of wonderful holy cards and small icons from gorski;

A letter from Bean! and;

My silver Mjollnir, with ring. I ordered this from http://www.ragweedforge.com . I received notice over e-mail on October 1 that it was being mailed that day and it arrived yesterday or today. It's the "Plain Stenby Hammer", the Stenby referring to the location of the buried hoard in Sweden where the prototype of this particular hammer was found.

What with my Army related morale going low, I put on the Mjollnir to remind myself of Thor's soldierly virtues. While Tyr strikes me as patron of the JAG corps, Thor's an enlisted guy in personality. His virtues are how he protects the ordinary people of the land (unlike his father Odin he is not a god of royalty), his opposition to the forces of destructive chaos, his courage and his ability to provide for people. His energy is fire and violent energy, but it's violent energy used for good.

Anyway, CPT W and MAJ T were in the room when I found the big box of "Rock Band" sitting there. I asked MAJ T to get out his Gerber and open it up and immediately it was Giftmas in that room. CPT W is another member of the Rock Band cult. MAJ T and I assembled the drums and guitar and I had him set them both prominently in front of the TV. For those about to rock, we salute you.

Jesus was a carpenter, so he probably DID carry a giant hammer.

I would think that both would be perfect. Add to that some Starbucks drip coffee, and he'd be all set for teaching that All Life is Suffering.

When you reach Enlightenment, that's when you get the good coffee and wampyre novels.

Yup, I knew it's an oath-ring. I got that whole Aspie thing going; when I get interested in an item I learn allllll about it.
