Trip to OC

I started the day by dropping off americanstd at his office to do a bit of work while I bravely sortied in the car to the post office. dmckilli, helenkacan and electorprince have parcels coming to all of them. Driving went all right although I did have a small bad moment when a KFC box suddenly rolled across the road in front of me.

BJ's Brewpub has a lunch special of a mini pizza and salad for $5.95. I had one plus an American Pale Ale.

We went to go see Steve's dad, who hasn't been feeling too well. After that we visited vanirpriestess and eosin. vanacat shyly emerged to sniff our fingers, and she's a real cutie. I showed pictures and gave gifts.

Home again home again. The smell of litter box greeted us like a punch in the nose, but we'd bought a new one for Mei-Mei and immediately replaced it. Don't know yet what she thinks of it. It is a sifting litter box, though not electric like some.

Fancy lunch in Coronado tomorrow.

Is OK. I'll give you a ring - let me know when you're free.

I'll have to work that out....I'm really hopping these days because I want to see a lot of people. Evenings so far are good, though. Everybody wants to do lunch, not dinner, except for tomorrow which is Trivia Night at Hooters.

Just comment or text - now that I'm done with school I'm pretty much free.

Awwww, shucks.

Is it ... bigger than a guinea pig??? I'm not asking because I'm lazy, but it's so c-c-c-c-old up here (even coming in through the walls and floors inside, isn't that nice /sarcasm), so the thought of ME walking over to the post office fills me with icy dread. I'll just hope I'm home the day it gets delivered. ::crosses fingers:: Or I'll con John into walking with me.

Thank you for the lovely surprise.
And, no, of course I can't sleep. My nose isn't working. ::adds ineffectual shnuffles for emphasis::

It's really small, really light, and might fit into your apartment mailbox, if you have one and not a mail slot.

I've never been a fan of ground floor apartments for that reason. Next apartment, make it not ground floor or top floor and you'll be okay. But at least it's not a tent you're living in.

It has two pans, one inside the other, and a grille. You lift up the grille, shake it into the garbage, put it into the pan that doesn't have litter in it, then pour the litter into that one. I figure it'll keep the litter aerated, even if it is a little bit more work.
