Wines

This is kind of for my own reference, but everybody can benefit.

Arizona has a wine country. I'm not sure where it is, but unfortunately, my experience with Arizona wines has not been good at all. This is a bummer; I like to support my local industries whenever possible.

Good inexpensive non-local wine of the evening: Dancing Bull.

A friend learned that the reason Arizona wines don't taste good outside of Arizona is that there is a lot of sulfur in the soil, which affects the taste. After you have been in Arizona, drinking local water, etc, you don't notice the sulfur taste, and the wine tastes much better.

They had bought wine in Arizona during a trip (they had tasted it and liked it), then when they got home, opened a bottle and found that it tasted much different then they remembered. Because they were no longer used to the sulfur taste.
