Stuff and nonsense

I didn't think the movie "Mad Max: Fury Road" was anything but dumb, but I sure am enjoying the fan works. There's a lot of art inspired by the movie out there, and it's all been cute or moving or both so far.

Work was dull today, and tomorrow, being the Friday before a three day holiday, promises to be even more boring. I have Kindle on my phone and may be able to get away with some reading. Certainly I have enough in the cloud to keep me "busy" for a while. Or at least distracted.

I finished another little passport-sized insert in my blue fake-Midori cover. This was my private diary insert. I feel accomplished. I don't know why I'm so goal-oriented about my notebooks. Actually, maybe it's because if I finish filling them up, I'm showing that I am using them, not just collecting. I've commented before that some "minimalist" tiny home dwelling types are obsessive about collecting journals. I like the aesthetics of the journals I buy, and the way they inspire me to keep me writing.

More 40k figure painting this weekend.

Not being a fan of car chases I skipped the movie. But there's an ecstatic series of posts by a 1.5-armed cosplayer who's looking forward to doing Furiosa that I loved.
