Kindle Unlimited

How does it work? You pay $10/month and have unlimited access to the Kindle library? How long can you keep a book? How many can you have out at a time? Since we ditched satellite TV, lowering my Kindle expenses seems like the logical next step.

IIRC you can check out 10 books at a time and keep each book indefinitely. I had the service for a while but ended up dropping it. The Unlimited-eligible collection is a small subset of the Kindle library so many books I was interested in were not available that way.

I don't know if I read enough per month to make it worthwhile. And the things I wanted to read were also available at our library. (Not in ebook form, but we've got a good library.)
