The Anti-Fundie Industrial Complex

For desert_vixen.

In the beginning, there was http://myblessedhome.blogspot.com. Then there were people who objected to the anti-Catholicism of it and Visits to Candy was born, done by Catholic apologists who wanted to answer Candy's crazy statements about the faith.

However, there was also a growing number of people outraged by the fact that if you make a comment Candy doesn't like she'll just ban you, that if you point out something is wrong she'll edit or remove the post and then claim it was always like that, and that she was lying about a lot of things such as that her husband is a famous inventor who provides wonderfully for the family (Erik Brauer makes David Koresh look like a well-balanced member of mainstream society and they live in a spider-infested trailer.) This could have been ignored until Candy posted the address of one of her detractors plus a photo of said detractor's house. Thus http://candyisanutjob.com was born, but it died giving birth to the massive http://candyisaliar.blogspot.com.

CIAL as it is called has links to Candy, her lunatic husband Erik (whose own blog will make your eyes bleed with paranoid stupidity), and Candy's supporters. As a no-cost bonus there are links to the Pissing Preacher's Wife and their soul-winning congregation, who are apparently praying for Obama to die so he won't be president anymore. As Tia, a CIAL citizen points out, by kindergarten most kids know that if POTUS dies, VPOTUS takes over--and don't they realize that Biden is an Eevol Kathlik?

Anyway, for anti-fundie sources, CIAL is a daily amusement park. Check out the comments; I'm there now almost as often as I am here. All welcome; we have one pagan lefty (Mrs. Flam) an irreligious educated and well-off white liberal (Tia) and the conservative Catholic mom of ten kids (Milehimama) all playing nicely and exchanging recipes that won't kill you. Candy reads daily but pretends she doesn't.

She has a Dutch friend who sounds as loop-de-loop .... ( http://ivoryblossom.blogspot.com/ ), she apparently fights her own personal crusade against St.Nicholas Day
(thank you Dutch Compulsory Education Act for banning homeschooling...)

Damn.

I have the compelling urge to breed to outweigh that portion of the gene pool.

Hi. I am one of the "mods" at CIAL and I want to thank you for the plug for us and the reminders of how crazy people can get. I'm glad you enjoy reading and hope you stick around.

Re: Wow, thanks
Sadly, no, I didn't realize you were Stephanie. It would seem I am among the clueless as I noticed this morning that others didn't realize it either.

We are nothing if not observant...or not.
