Here we go!

Just celebrated Mardi Gras with a few glasses of Coors Light and a a sour apple martini. Now we commence an alcohol-free Lent. I did this in 2005 and it was a very effective discipline. Since I'm reading the Bible very diligently, I couldn't use that as a Lenten thing.

Not going to fast tomorrow, though. I'm going to go meatless of course, but since my baseline stress level is way up due to Something The Army Is Doing To Me, no way am I going without my after work workout. This precludes fasting.

Pope Happycat wants to remind everybody NO MEAT TOMORROW.

Mei-Mei is having Mahi-Mahi. Every Friday, she gets fish.

Pope Happycat will have a McFish because he is leader of the Cat-olics so his example must be a strong one.

Here in Russia we eat PANCAKES on Mardi Gras. My wife will make pancakes today :)

There is a beautiful song about Mardi Gras and Pancakes. I wish to find it in Internet and download some day.

It was IHOP (International House of Pancakes). They were doing it as a fund raiser. You got free pancakes but they encouraged donations for a childrens' hospital.

No meat. Check.

Luckily, lunch is Indian buffet, so if I decide to follow this, I'll have plenty to eat.

I'm celebrating with chocolate and cookies.

Does this mean you're a practicing Catholic again?

It's a little complicated. I still don't believe in a personal god and maintain there is no Sky Daddy. What you've read in bible_heretics is about as far as I have it figured out.
