Sick bears are sick.

Steve went to the doc. He's got a flu PLUS a raging case of pinkeye PLUS the aftereffects of that stupid tetanus shot.

I'm off to Wal-Mart to get him huge amounts of sports drink (I'll see what's on sale).

He's so sad! We're going to sit on the couch and watch Buffy. He liked the first two eps.

Tell me how it is after you get done watching. I've seen Charmed thanks to many early mornings when I was at Northern, but never Buffy.

I'm sorry to hear Steve is sick again. I hope he will get better quickly and that you won't catch the flu.

I hope Mei-Mei is giving lots of healing cuddles.

She's totally ignoring him. She's not as useful as Badira was in that way.

Boooo to all of Steve's medical problems (one on top of another, because just one wouldn't be enough of a problem, right?).

But yaaaay for sports drinks. At least he'll be hydrated, though the caloric content is minimal.

Healing though distant hugs,

The caloric content in most sports drinks is anything BUT minimal. I won't drink them for that reason, although there are some low-cal ones out now.

I'm sorry Steve's sick. Hope he's better soon, and that you don't pick up any of the stray germs.

I never did find anything definitive about combining influenza A and tetanus booster as being harmful, nor did I find anything to suggest giving someone with the flu a tetanus shot would make them have such a bad reaction (except in kids younger than 10, which Steve is not).

You're not any sort of medical professional, so don't worry about it.

Steve talked to the supervising physician at the UCSD medical centre we use and she didn't think giving him the shot had been a good idea at all. She said she'd give the doc who saw him a Good Speaking To.
