Day of the Trickster

I had to be reminded by godhole that April 1 is to modern-day Norse pagans the date consecrated to Loki Laufeyson.

Hail, Loki!

I practically forgot about it. Some years I can come up with a good joke, but this year I didn't even try.

Don't forget the Native Americans consider the Coyote to be a great trickster.

Yes, but we're a Norse household here.

Heh! My household has a dog who just might be part coyote, so that's where our tricks come from.

I used to volunteer at an animal shelter, and Huskies are just awesome like that.

Though if I had to pick a favorite, it'd be the Pomeranian. I'm picturing a Pomeranian trickster, and it's making me giggle.

I've always said I won't consider becoming a proper pagan until someone brings back the Leaping Priests of Mars.

I'd rather be a Haruspex, personally.

Ah, that must be why The Mask was on TV last night.
