So I got into Ali late last night, took a shower, and went to bed. This morning I was aghast to find out that while our first accountability formation (roll call) was at 0800, the next is 12 hours later, which means we'll fly out around midnight or so.

This means 12+ hours of nothing. Fortunately it's Sunday, which means I can go to church all day for entertainment and edification. I went to the Nondenominational service this morning. Light on preaching and scripture, heavy on the kind of "my girlfriend Jesus" soft rock I am ashamed to admit I like. Fun to sing but the theology in them is terrible. Next up is the Gospel service at 1500, which should bring the house down and finally at 1700 is Catholic Mass, which in the last month I attended once, and it was a funeral. It's just that on Sundays while on R&R I either had something funeral-related to do or I just didn't want to leave the house because I was nesting.

I put my bags in the tent where you can stow baggage, and they're cool about taking stuff out, but I don't know if I want to haul my 1128 page novel around.

At least I'm getting a chance to beat the jet lag since all I've been doing is wandering around the camp. Believe it or not, it's drizzling. Monday is also my assigned day off, but I wouldn't be able to go into work anyway because I handed over all my keys and need to be let in to work to get them back. Still curious about the new office regime; MAJ T made it sound promising and I hope he was right.
