More on the condo

Now that we're in escrow, we met with the realtor at the condo again to take window measurements, see the garage, etc. I realized that seki_raku was the first friend I wanted to see the place because she would know to point out things we've missed and because she has excellent taste and excellent suggestions on use of space. She saw the place and very much approved. Her eagle eye spotted mold we hadn't seen (but is easily fixed) and she gave the expected suggestions.

So yeah. You enter into the living room, which has a gas fireplace in one corner. The living room is part of a "great room" with a dining room nook and the open kitchen. The kitchen has Corian countertops which I've wanted for a long time, though I'm not keen on the colour, which is beige. The hallway has a sliding door in case Steve wants to stay up late; I can sleep in an isolated suite while he plays video games or whatever. The first, larger bathroom is on the left with the laundry space across from it, then there's the master bedroom with its smaller bath on the right past the laundry. There are built-in linen cabinets across from the master bedroom! Finally there's the second bedroom which has a walk-in closet.

The dining room and kitchen have a rather nice stone tile floor but the rest of the place is wall to wall off-white carpeting which I don't fancy. Ivan's not much one for barfing but still, things spill.

We're getting very excited about moving!

The mold is on the bottom of two drawers in the kitchen. All that has to happen is to pop off the drawer bottom, slide in a fresh one and it's done. It's also part of the contract with the seller to fix anything like that.

Oh good, that sounds harmless enough. I look forward to hearing more about it.
