On top of the pre-deployment weirds, the sun has been out maybe one day out of two weeks.  I'm in a rotten mood.

I got my Hep A shot though.  Maybe now COL E will sign off on my SRP sheet.  The nurse was great; just walked me back, had me shake my arm vigorously, and did it, no fuss no muss.

After that I went to the Y.  I've lost a pound.  I'm in a bind of wanting to enjoy here what I won't be able to enjoy over there food-wise, but on the other hand due to weeks of restaurant meals my ACUs are tight in the seat.  Perhaps all I can hope for is to maintain, but not get any fatter.  I did get a carne asada burrito yesterday, but realized I didn't have to eat *all* of it.  I ate half and took the rest home so perhaps that'll work out.  More gym tomorrow after I get some paperwork notarized.

I recently added someone who posts about her workouts, so I'll summarize here.  I'm starting to have knee pain so I'm a little hesitant to run too often.  I have discovered that putting a treadmill at 10% and walking 3.5 mph (I have little short legs) is quite butt-kicking.  So much so that after 20 minutes of it, I gave up, lowered the treadmill to 0% and ran.  Running was easier.  30 minutes of cardio a day is a good thing, no matter how you get it.

I also did 60 inclined situps (I can do over 100 flat ones) and did 20 assisted pull-ups.  When I got out of AIT I could do pull-ups unassisted and I want that upper body strength back.

I was hoping the workout would kick in my endorphins and cheer me up but it didn't.

I'm going to do laundry now.

Most of my friends are having a grouchy day today (and so am I). I hope it passes soon for you.

Leftover burritos are yummy to mix in with scrambled eggs in the morning.

Sounds like a good workout, and I know what you mean - if the sun doesn't come out soon, I might have to kick the cat.

no, I would never kick the cat, but some sunshine would sure make me feel better
